About Us

INDIA: AN EMERGING SPORTING NATION FOR FOOTBALL

India possesses a vast pool of young talent with immense potential in football. However, the current infrastructure and development programs lack a holistic approach to nurturing this talent and propelling them towards global success stories. The India Football Centre (IFC), has the potential to completely transform Indian football by creating a strong pipeline of players who can compete in international leagues.
The IFC caters to Indian and Non-Resident Indian players, offering training and career opportunities. Recognising the deep passion for football within the Non-Resident Indian (NRI) diaspora, the IFC aims to bridge the gap for aspiring young footballers. The IFC will provide NRI children with the chance to refine their skills and compete at a high level, potentially opening doors to European leagues. It serves as a platform for aspiring footballers to improve skills and pursue international success.

Location

The India Football Centre facility is planned to open in the city of Gmunden, Austria as the city has an ideal training location, strong local support, positive brand image and the city can be a gateway to other European opportunities.
In the next 6 months IFC also plans to open multiple centres in Europe; 4 in Austria, 2 in Switzerland and 2 in Germany.

Mission

The primary mission of the India Football Centre is to identify, nurture, and develop exceptional football talent from India and also the NRI diaspora, providing them with world-class training facilities and educational resources to hone their skills and capabilities.

The Next Project

The Indian Football Centre is focusing on a groundbreaking talent scouting project supported by the German Football Association (DFB), Bundesliga, Borussia Dortmund and City of Gmunden. This initiative aims to identify exceptional talent in the U-14 boys age category from India, opportunity will also be created for girls of this age category. Furthermore, a newly formed team called the "Indian Tigers" (and its counterpart, the "Indian Tigress" for girls) will be established, offering these young talents the opportunity to compete against international youth teams, fostering invaluable experience and growth. The Tigers are planned to have teams in multiple age categories, and this will provide opportunities for talented youth to present themselves in global stage. Selected players will embark on a month-long training camp in Gmunden, where they will receive world-class coaching, immerse themselves in local football culture, and gain invaluable experience alongside professionals. This project signifies a significant step towards nurturing young Indian talent and fostering a strong footballing bridge between India and Europe.
